After Opening, one record let's say Hardware Status - Out of Stock , i don't find a valid Life Cycle Control for this and i am not able to create new entry in Life Cycle Control Table.

Hi @chaudharymahesh,

The purpose of the life cycle mapping record is to map an existing status field to a CSDM Life Cycle Stage and Status. On the screenshot with the error message you can see that you have your existing status field but no CSDM Life Cycle data. You need to select a suitable Life cycle control to have the form populate the Table, Life Cycle Stage and Life Cycle Status. These Controls are the values you must choose an option for, you are not expected to create new values as the purpose of Life cycles is to harmonise all of the baseline and custom state values to an standardised set of life cycles. These life cycles are published in the CSDM v4.0 white paper if you need to review them.

You are correct that there is no out of stock life cycle status. The closest I can see is Purchase > On order. This is not ideal but in theory an asset could be on order indefinitely because it is out of stock!

I hope this helps.
