What we know so far:
1. Nothing from 3.0 changes. Most organizations need to align to that first anyway.
2. 4.0 is a maturation of the model by adding the "Build" domain which will maintain the SDLC component. This is the piece that happens during the build of an application. You do not have to use the SDLC component.
3. This accommodates the full lifecycle.
4. The relationship between the Business Application and Application Services can be maintained.
5. Adding the use of product models and product owners. Application and Service Owners can be "Product Owners" facilitating that end to end ownership and lifecycle.
6. Product Model [cmdb_model] types are Application Model, Software model, Contract model, Facility Model, Hardware Model, Consumable model and Service model.
7. This allows for extensibility to use a product in Idea, Demand, Projects and Tasks.
