How to create "Shared Services" in CSDM for example Single Sign On

Marcel Leu

Hi CSDM contributors,

Single Sign On is used for the authentication of various services or applications. The Azure service is used for this. The Authenticator app from Microsoft, for example, is also used as a second factor.
This service can be regarded as a "shared service". How is this service modeled in CSDM 4.0 so that a reasonable classification can also be made in incident management? This means that I would like to be able to evaluate how often users have difficulties with the Authenticator App for example.

I appreciate any kind of ideas.

Regards, Marcel

Hi Marcel,

I am to do that via Application Service - Application Service relation.
So a dependency relation/application.
This way , in general, it is related to a Technical Service Offering.
This can be subscribed anyway, so it still is possible to populate in the portal catalogs.

Barry is spot on.  I would reference this video where we discuss the shared technical service, which happens to be for LDAP for single sign on.  https://youtu.be/0ia-I5Kcuvg
