How to manage Business Teams on NOW CSDM?

We have a bunch of teams and we need a custom identifier for them. They own custom applications on NOW platform and have a wide range for functionality around their ownership record. They are quite critical to business and having them, their apps, their ownership info, their support teams etc stored and identified explicitly on NOW platform. Is quite critical since there is a whole world of automation around them. How do we record them on NOW using CSDM? Now we are using a custom table but we know it's a bad solution and looking to fit them into OOTB solution. Assuming they will be digital portfolios and their scoped apps will be business applications and their App instances be Application services. Any other best way to implement them? Also critical to manage their support groups information. We know having them under business units or departments is a bad place to put them. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I would start with identifying the Business Capability, Business Services and Service Offerings. If you can figure these out, you can easily connect service offerings to App Services and Business Apps. You can manage Support groups and users using the applications on service offerings. This aligns with CSDM.

Thank you for your response @Ravi Peddineni ! Defining Services itself is big of a task for us also we have just started with CSDM. Can't get to complete that soon. Also irrespective of doing these it's not solving the ask of adding Business Owners as we identify them today. We know they are not a best fit as Service Offerings since they don't really Support Business Services or Technical Services individually directly today. They kind of operate as... Project Teams or Programs to say as a comparative example. We have business need to record them as an entity or a record on platform and their Scoped Applications, their relationships etc are a must to identify.

Are you saying that you have whole new User and Group directory solution of SNOW as a custom app to manage just their teams data?

Also when you say bunch of teams, Are these groups in SNOW OOTB or the records that are maintained in the custom table you created?

@Ravi Peddineni , we are currently using a custom table to store these Business Owners, link them to custom applications they own and on this custom record we have fields to identify their Dev Group, Devops group etc. This record will have Business Owner defined, on this there will be related lists, one of them contains Business Team member and their role ( ex: John - Project Manager). Other list is - Each owner record will be related to their Servicenow Scoped or Custom App and that inturn will support the Business Apps which have their App Services associated. Now we want to be able to have this Owner record established in some OOTB setup where it fits the best.

To answer your first question, no, they don't exist as a user group record. But the custom table kind of looks like similar setup both in terms of access provisioning and restrictions as well providing other functionalities that support our Business structure.
