Hi ServiceNow Folks,
Hope everyone doing great!
It will be useful, mentioned in here some of the symptoms & approaches for troubleshooting of ServiceNow Discovery. However, discover can fail any of the phases of discovery & any of the reasons either protocol issue or any other reasons.
1. Authentication Failure - Not able to login device or machine.
2.Pattern Missing (Horizontal) - In that case have to raise ServiceNow HI ticket to recover OOB pattern.
3. Device Unavailability - Lack of proper device information.
4. Machine is active but not reachable, its means Port is not active.
5. Discovery stops - Please retry discovery in middle.
6. Wrong credentials - Machine fetch incorrect credential. Delete the IP affinity. If issue still persist then inform to infra team to clear cache of the devices, there might be possibility to store credential in device host file.
