Technology Management Service Offering - Application Administration

Hello - We have a team that provides technical support and administration for the Business Application, Planview. We are trying to determine for what reasons we would need a Planview Administration Technology Management Service Offering? We have our support group aligned to Planview Dev/Test/Prod Application Services for ITSM.  We have a Business Service Offering called Project Management Delivery that depends on Planview Dev/Test/Prod Application Services to show service health.  Perhaps we may want it for request catalog?

Hi @kelli,

You create a TMS to offer a service to technology consumers (effectively people building services - although there is some debate to whether desktop support and Helpdesk is also a TMS), and then TMSOs for each flavour of that service. This would appear on a TMS catalog. Do technology consumers raise requests to your team to embed Planview in their systems?

 

If not, and if your support is purely for escalation from the L1 support group in the BSO, then I wouldn't say you need a TMSO for Planview.
