Auto-Assigning Cases to HR Agent while in Awaiting Approval State

We have a workflow where when a case is open, is moves to Ready and then Awaiting Approval right away. Once approved (by a manager), it moves to Ready state and then is auto-assigned to an HR Agent. Is it possible to change the workflow so the case can be auto-assigned to an HR agent the same time the Awaiting Approval state starts?
