Editing My Own Questions and Replies

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to get permission to edit my own Questions and Replies on the ServiceNow Community?

I currently don’t see the Edit Post option on my contributions. Is there any specific role or permission required to enable this?

Thanks!

Hi @Dinesh Chilaka,

You can edit upto 45 mins or 1 hr from the time after you posted. After that amount of time has passed, edit option wont be available. If you want to add any info you missed to add, you can add new reply or add an update to your question in the reply.

Hi @Dinesh Chilaka,

I don't see the edit option either for posts or replies so I'm following this thread to see if you're able to get a resolution.

Powered by caffeine, curiosity, and more failed attempts than I'd like to admit

@Ehab Pilloor - this is what I'm presented with within 1-2 minutes of replying so it would seem that not all of us have the ability to edit within the timescale you stated

@CN-L @Dinesh Chilaka,

Interesting, This seems to be an issue on platform level. I am able to edit my posts, I also notice you both have posted less than 200 times in Community, not sure if that is relevant to this issue.

I found this article but I dont qualify for those mentioned, yet I can edit my posts.
