How to edit community article I posted

I have an article that I posted last year, under the Developer articles area of this community, that I was able to edit before. However, I can't seem to find any option to edit the article anymore:

The reason I would like to edit the article is due to a comment leading me to finding a fix to part of the content of that article. Without the fix being added in directly, anybody reading the article will not get the fix without scrolling through the comments to find it.

Does anybody know how I can go about editing my article?

Edit: As a reference, this is what my options are for this very question, as you can see I can edit it:

Hi @David House ,

The community has gone through a makeover/change/upgrade recently. I think your post is quiet an old one, that's the reason you don't have the edit option.

I have looked further into this issue, and it looks like Sandeep is partially correct. The issue is definitely related to the revamp of the ServiceNow Community. However, it is not due to the age of the article.

The cause is simply that the creation/modification of blog posts and articles is now restricted to those members of the community that are one of the following:

  • MVPs
  • Rising Stars
  • Thought Leaders
  • Employees

Since I am not one of the above, I am no longer able to edit my existing article, and I am not able to post a new article. So the solution to my problem appears to be that I will need to strive to join the Rising Star program.

Hi @aciinfotech,

Thanks for the contribution.

I think you may have missed part of my question as I mentioned the article was posted on this website we are currently using.

I was able to find the reason behind my inability to edit my original article, which was due to a change in permissions for the site at that time (see my accepted solution for more details).

To your other point of reaching out to support, I did try this. However, sadly, I received no response or assistance. This means my original article will remain partially inaccurate until such a time as I am able to qualify for one of the community ranks required to create/edit articles, or support are able to respond and assist.
