Field on case record is getting populated with Knowledge article content attached

Hi Everyone,
We have a custom field on the case record (u_additional_comments). Whenever a knowledge article template is attached from Knowledge results using attach button, the article content is getting copied to the above mentioned field. When an another article is attached, the previous content in the comments field is getting overridden with newly attached article content. We don't want the content to be overwritten, we need to append this. I tried to get the "Attach" button from "cxs_ui_action_config" table, but didn't find any configuration related to the above logic.
