Just got into the ServiceNow ecosystem. Planning to take my admin exam next month. Was wondering from some of the seniors what is the best way forward for going from a rookie ServiceNow admin to an intermediate level. Thanks, Chet

You should start with ServiceNow University (ex- Now Learning, if you'l see it, it's the same😞
- https://www.servicenow.com/community/servicenow-university/ct-p/sn-university
- scroll down and select your path and you will have many courses suggested,
- most of it si free, but something (absolute minority) is paid
- Enrol to Welcome to ServiceNow training and get your first cert
- it was very helpful even for me with years of experience when I took it
Then you can practice after creating your own PDI (Personal Developer Instance)
- You can have your own ServiceNow platform without a worry that you break something,
- except of AI and few more features you can try everything on your own for free!
- Also PDI shows you "how it should look like"
- Request your PDI here:
- And also here in the top there are tabs:
- Learning Path
- Courses
- Learn
- Certifications
- These will also help you understand and learn new things, you can get back to it when it's needed
At the ServiceNow University you collect points, badges and (micro-)certifications, on the Developer site is is just for you to learn without "reward", reward is what you will take from that class.
The very first training/certificate that you should take is Certified System Administrator (CSA), it is a must. If you are preparing yourself you might need to invest some money here, but it is worthy.
Happy learning and ask question in this Community when you will face any issues, you will receive support and help.
Good luck!

Best way is hands-on practice. After clearing admin, start building small apps, experiment with flows, UI policies, BRs, and reporting. Use ServiceNow docs, community, and developer site. Work on real scenarios, not just theory—that’s what takes you from rookie to intermediate.
If this helps kindly accept the solution.

Hi @ChaitanyaT44431 ,
Definitely there are many free resources on the inyternet to learn Servicenow and become expert slowly slowly, although it will take time. I am listing few resources below for your consideration:-
Free resources:-
1) Developer.servicenow.com -> Learn (After creating a PDI)
2) Servicenow University - Welcome to Servicecnow, Welcome to Servicenow Micro certification, ServiceNow Admin fundamentals are good to start
3) Free Youtube Channels-
A. Learn and Grow by Atul Grover
B. LearnServiceNowwith Ravi
C. SaaswithServicenow
D. BasicoServiceNow
4) Servicenow product documentation- docs.servicenow.com
Starting point should be - SN GUI, User Management, List and Forms, Table Management, ITSM Modules- Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Reprots, Dashbaords, Catalogs, Workflow, Flow Designer etc..then Client Side scripting, Server Side scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes etc), Ui Policy, Data Policy, Glide Ajax, and then Integration.
As a trainer my experience -- If you think you are not very disciplined in self learning then attending a proper training will be better. In case of any further query, feel free to ping me.
Also check this:- https://www.servicenow.com/community/training-and-certifications/how-to-start-your-servicenow-admin-...
Hope it will give clear picture. If yes, please mark my answer as- solution accepted.
