Is there a way to try out Knowledge Management Add-in for Microsoft Word in case one does not have admin rights to Office 365?

Hello @La Maga

Greetings!

unfortunately, it's not possible without the admin privileges.

Hi @La Maga,

Once you've installed the plugin, go to the Office Add-In Manifests module and download the manifest for the Knowledge Management Word add-in.

Once you have the manifest, save it on your local machine in a specific folder and then share that folder with yourself. This is important as it will create a share path that can be used to load the add-in into Word.

Now that you have the folder shared, open a new document in Word online and click the Insert tab. Find the Add-Ins ribbon item and click on it.

Select Upload My Add-in from the top right then browse to your folder location and select the XML manifest file that you downloaded earlier.

The add-in will be available for you to test. This should also work for the desktop app version of Word.
