Anyone migrated data and processes from other applications to CWM? For example, migrate from Trello, Asana, or Smartsheet to CWM.
I would like to hear your story and what worked well and what didn't.

Hi @F_Fairley ,
migrating to CWM from tools like Trello, Asana, or Smartsheet can definitely be done, but there are a few things worth planning upfront to make the transition smooth. Here are key things to consider during the migration:
- Data structure differences
Tools like Trello or Asana are task-oriented, while CWM has more structured records like tickets, service boards, and agreements. Think through how each element maps. - Process alignment
Some workflows may not transfer directly. It helps to re-evaluate what should be moved "as-is" vs. restructured to fit CWM’s model better. - Metadata and relationships
If you want to bring attachments, comments, custom fields, or dependencies — check whether your export/import method supports that level of detail. - User assignments and timestamps
Preserving original ownership and historical data (who did what, when) isn’t always possible with basic CSV imports. - Team readiness
The migration is one part — getting your team comfortable with the new environment is just as important. You might want to phase the rollout or sandbox it first. - When teams look beyond manual imports:
If your migration involves a large volume of data or you’re trying to preserve more than just task names — like:- Linked records
- Status and timestamp history
- Comments and attachments
- Relationships across multiple tools (e.g., project in Asana linked to tickets in Jira)
Then. it is worth exploring tools built specifically for enterprise-grade migration. For example, you may consider OpsHub Migration Manager (OMM) for zero downtime, non-disruptive and full fidelity migrations.
Hope it helps!
