Will we be able to open List items in a New Tab?

I have created my board, added my conditions to filter for the work type needed, but when I click to open a line item in a new tab it only opens a blank tab that does not load.  Will this function be available in the future?

 

Currently, in classic, this is a highly used function to quickly navigate between pages to complete validation without having to constantly toggle back/forth and wait for pages to load.
