Hi All,
Today I would be covering on how we can install Creator Studio on PDI.
What is Creator Studio?
Creator Studio is designed with non-developers in mind, offering a guided, intuitive environment for building request-based applications. It breaks down the traditional barriers to app development, making it accessible for business process experts to bring their automation ideas to life. This tool is not intended to replace existing development tools like App Engine Studio, but to complement them by providing a new entry point for app creation.
Creator Studio is more than just a new tool; it’s a new way of thinking about application development on ServiceNow. It promises to open up the platform to a broader audience, enabling more users to contribute to their organization's digital transformation journey.
Note : Your PDI has to be on Washington DC Release Patch 3 Hot fix 1
Here are the Steps:
1. You will need to go to plugins and Type " Creator Studio". You will find it and then you need to click on Install. Latest version available is 25.1.2
2. Installation in Progress. It will take 15-20 mins to install
3. Once installed and then click on View Details, you will land onto this page:
Verify if the status changes to installed.
Imp point: Once installed, it cannot be uninstalled as mentioned in screenshot
4. Then Type Creator Studio in App navigator. It will come under APP Engine application menu as shown in
screenshot below
5. Then you can go to click on + icon Create an APP
5. Once clicked, it will ask you to provide the APP name and Description and hit Create APP
6. System will create the APP just in single click. You will see the current app will change to this APP
7. System will give you an option to create an record producer via two default templates:
1. AES Template
2. Creator Studio Template
You will need to select the template and create the record producer
After selecting that you will land onto this page:
8. You need to click on Edit, then you will have an option to create multiple variables/questions by just doing drag and drop
9. You will have three sections
1. Request Forms - You can create and modify the variables on Record Producers
2.Automations - Playbook Designs
3. Form Submissions - Creator Studio Workspace (OOB)
Once the form is created and process flow is designed and workspace is designed. You can click on Submit for Review.
Once submitted for review, it will follow the pipeline process of deployment
As it is PDI hence pipeline option is not available.
Hope this help you.
Please mark this helpful if it helps you
