Hi All,
Here today I would cover some important points on Performance Analytics.
Question#1: Why it is required to put Date/Time condition on Indicator source?
Answer: It is required to put Date/Time condition in indicator source so that indicator can collect data based on the date/time condition put in the indicator source. If it is not given indicator source will not know what data to collect like for what time period.
Note: During collection, the dynamic Today operator is replaced by the current date.
Question#2: Which color is given to Global vs Personal Targets in PA?
Answer: A target is displayed using a black solid line (for global) and dark grey color is dedicated for Personal targets.
Note: Only Admins and Power Users can configure global Targets and Thresholds. Everyone else can configure Personal targets and thresholds only.
Question#3: Does Formula indicator use Indicator Source? If not then why?
Answer: Unlike Automated Indicators, Formula Indicators do not use an Indicator Source.
Formula Indicator do not directly use the indicator source as it calculates based on formula provided in the formula box. It can contain one or more automatic indicator in the formula.
Click "Browse for an indicator" and then
- Click, ‘browse for an indicator’ to search for and add indicators to the formula
Note: You can manually replace square brackets by curly brackets in the formula text box, or uncheck Allow Breakdown in the Browse for an indicator UI
Important Point: Surrounding the indicator by double curly brackets prevents Breakdowns from being applied when viewing in the Analytics Hub or in Dashboards
Hope this helps you!
