An optional field turns to a Mandatory field

Hello everyone, I have a configuration issue that I need assistance with as I am not too familiar with where I should navigate to troubleshoot this issue. I am working off an existing catalog item and figuring out what is causing a field that’s originally an optional field turn to mandatory based on values changed with the question below:
Upon load, the question is defaulted to none:
Originally on the form, the End Date is NOT mandatory. This is the desired result.
The question “Is this request to cease renewal of an IT product/service?” is a Yes/No variable.
Selecting Yes hides the Start Date & End Date fields so that they are not present on the form.
However without refreshing the page, and changing the option to No, these fields appear again and “End Date” shows as a Mandatory field. This field should remain as an optional field to fill and I do not know where to look in regard to UI policies or what settings to change, etc. The Estimated Term/Requested Date is a variable set. Any help is appreciated.

I understand a bit your question
I suggest you find some clientScript onchang to this variable because this behavior seems to be done by some script or some ui police whit advanced script.

Hi @mythNOW
Please check the On-Change Catalog Client Script on variable "Is this request to cease renewal of an IT product/service". Also, check in the UI Policies if you have any UI Policy and UI Policy Actions defined around Start Date and End Date fields.
Also, please check if any other On-Change Catalog Client Script defined on some other catalog variable is not making the fields visible and mandatory.
