'Approval For' field for Knowledge Articles is coming blank. We want it filled.

The "Approval For" field is a reference field to the task table  and knowledge article table doesn't extend task table in servicenow therefore KB approvals don't display any data for 'Approval For' field.
 
Alternative is to use Approving field both in list and form view.
However, you can’t dot-walk from that field (Approving) in a report. So is there a way we can get 'approval for' field for kb articles to have kb number. So that I can use that field in my reports
