I am not able to make depreciation work!!
I created a new asset with a cost $10000.00 and applied SL5 years depreciation method which start from 19-05-2016 so according to wiki
calculation residual value should be $8000. but i an not getting anything neither residual value nor depreciated value pops up!!

I was testing your case on my instance and the depreciation is calculated properly.
I tried the same date you picked for the 'Depreciation Affective date' first.
Obtaining this result
Than i tried to adjust the date a couple of times
The last one gave the expected result.
Just a couple of super stupid questions before saying that this a bug and you need to open a ticket through HI
First of all. On your form Can you see the link 'Calculate Depreciation' ?
If the answer is YES and you click the button is there anything happening ?
If you can execute the action is the link visible after the job execution ?
