Hi All,
My ATF is getting failed because Promote Major Incident UI action is not visible in Priority 1 incident whereas in manual testing it's visible for priority 1 incident.
How to test Promote major Incident UI action in ATF.
@Ankur Bawiskar Kindly assist! The requirement is just to test "Promote Major Incident" UI action which is visible in context menu when incident priority is set to 1
Thank you !!

are you sure in manual testing it's visible?
Did you try with admin role in ATF?
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

@Ankur Bawiskar I set component values in two different still the mandatory field is not becoming non mandatory, the promote button is accessible once those two fields(work notes, business impact become non mandatory),

Hi @Kiruthika J ,
As Promote to Major Incident is UI visible only on major_incident_manager or admin , when your running an ATF are you impersonating any user? if so is that user have any on of these role [admin,major_incident_manager].
or please check OOTB ATF Test suits for Major incident MIM: Major Incident Management. you will get more idea on this.
If this information proves useful, kindly mark it as helpful or accepted solution.
Thanks,
BK

Hi @Kiruthika J
I agree with @Bhavya11 — an incident can be proposed as a Major Incident (MI) by an ITIL user, but the promotion to MI can only be done by a Major Incident Manager.
Please check whether the user you're using in the ATF has the Major Incident Manager role. If not, the UI action will not be visible.
