Auto refresh of Visual task board

Hi All,

VTB auto refresh doesn't seems to be working as expected If you are in the visual task board created on "Assigned to " The first lane is "None (Assigned to is empty)" does not populate when a new ticket is assigned unless you select refresh.

We are currently in the Helsinki patch 8 but we never had this issue in Fuji, Please let me know if there is any work around or fix available for this issue.

Given the details above, I am not able to duplicate the issue in Helsinki Patch 7


I would recommend that you open a HI ticket with service-now regarding this, there could be something specific to your upgrade



my example:


Creating a 'new unassigned' incident auto-refresh shows the unassigned ticket

another user/browser updates the 'testing vtb' ticket to be assigned to another user


and both browsers auto-refresh the board and data to correctly show the ticket in the correct assigned-to values in the vtb board

The customer replicated the issue to me.



There were new tickets coming to customer's queue every 2 min but the VTB lane seems to be showing wrong data means it is not refreshing itself but when the user refresh the VTB there were 10+ tickets added to the unassigned lane of VTB.



As you said i think we should go for HI support i just want to do my research before submitting a ticket.

Hi Sajin,



I have been having the same refresh issue across our VTBs as well.


One thing that I have found and used as a workaround (and also duplicated using your example aswell).



On your Task Board filter, if you have Assignment Group set to more than (+1) groups, then the refresh does not work.


If you set the Assignment Group to just (1) group , then refresh will work again.



Downside to this is if you NEED those multiple groups to be visible on just one board.. then it still will not work.


If you create individual boards for the groups then they will.

We use a single assignment group to create the VTB ,customer use this VTB to assign tickets within the team members by drag and drop.
