Back up Scoped Application data

Hello,

Getting ready to launch our application to production.

I would like to know if there is a way to automatically schedule scoped application data backup?

I know we can manually export XML per table, but I would like to know if there is an API or script to backup all application tables into a XML or Zip file.

Maybe we can create a scheduled script?

Please notice this is backup at the scoped application level, not instance level.

Any advice is greatly appreciated
