I been working on a requirement where after a catalog item is triggered for admin to manually assign an application owner. Now if admin decides to cancel that and reassigns to a different app owner, it is stuck there, as ASK for approval core by servicenow only terminates it if we set some time bound trigger that is Due Date. The requirement is to give the ability to admin to cancel "ask for approval" anytime an admin likes. Pls advise Thank you

Manually assigning the Service Owner in the RITM is like breaking the process from its foundation.
Instead of doing it manually, you should create a variable, capture input from the user, and then use that to identify the correct Service Owner automatically. This value can be added into the Flow, avoiding any need for manual intervention.
RITM/REQ is a standardized process and ideally should not involve any human interaction — especially at the approval level.
