When creating a template for the catalog builder, you can only specify question sets (aka variable sets) to add to the template. Variable sets don't support the "map to field" functionality for record producers by design. Most people either use single variables so they can utilize "map to field" -- or they use script on the record producer to "map" their fields manually. This falls apart for catalog builder templates, because you can't add single questions to the template, only sets, and you can't provide script for the record producer.
You can do this when USING the template to make a new item, but the template itself can't do it. This is a problem if you are trying to specify "standard" fields for your incidents. You don't want catalog builder editors to have to setup these basic fields every time. But it doesn't seem possible to do this as part of the template.
Did I miss some way to do this?
