Hello all, good day!

Looking for some advices about catalog item icon/picture as below :

  1. I tried upload image file in the icon , after saved, I can't find where the icon display, where is the display ?
  2. The picture uploaded will be displayed on the left side of individual item, as well as top left of the item inputting screen, can I remove the display in the form, as it is taken up the space.
  3. Not really understand the different between the icon and picture, when & which to use ?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Are you using the Catalog or Service Portal?

The icon displays in the catalog in the Service Management view.

If you remove the picture it will render like so.

Hello, thank you for your sharing.

I am using the service portal, I understand now.

Code an example below, the picture will be displayed in the item request form, can I remove this display but keep the image display in the service portal ? Thank you.

I think I'm looking for the same thing.  I want to have a little thumbnail appear in the Service Portal, but create my own custom look and feel when the user clicks on this thumbnail and loads the form to fill out.  It's certainly my opinion, but the default of how the description text wraps the thumbnail in the form view is very ugly to me.  If you don't have the length of the description just right, the alignment with the image is an eye sore.  I'd like to just create my own custom widget to be used under the title in the form view to make it more inviting before the user filling the form has to go through death by input boxes. The problem is if we upload a picture to the Catalog it displays in the form view whether we want it there or not. If we remove it, then we are left with a SP with no picture. That's not good either, because we need a thumbnail.   I'm hoping these two can be separated, we can get a thumbnail for the catalog choice and not be required to have that same thumbnail on the actual form if we want to create a custom HTML widget.

I'm on Tokyo, so maybe there's a better way to do this in a newer release, but I'm hoping there's a way to make this prettier in Tokyo (fingers crossed).
