Change Management - Projected Service Outage need to be implement

Hi Connections,

We need to implement Projected Service Outage for change management, when ever in change management a outage is seen in between the planned start and planned end date it is not calculated and it is impacting the change time. Need to implement this whenever a outage is seen it should stop the clock of planned start/end date.

(I will create a new check box field and a outage start and end date filed on the change form for the above requirement, looking for how to implement this.)

Let me know if you need any other information

Best Regards,

Rafmine.

Planned start and planned end date are static fields. How do you want to stop something that isn't running?

Hi Mark,

static field means independent field right, I thought it can be done through workflow activity, any way to achieve this...

When you are working on a change, you put in a scheduled planned start and end date on the form. This is the time you plan to start the change, you make an estimation of the duration and get the planned end date/time for that. These date/time fields aren't 'running', so how do you want to stop it? It's the time on which you expect the change to start (which is a given) and you expect it to end (which is also a given). You can't stop something that isn't running.

Hi @Community Alums

Sorry, I am not fully understood, when you there is outage. so you want to stop Planned Start date / end date? Are you using SLA on change?

Could you please elaborate more to guide you.
