I am exploring the learning resources available in ServiceNow University, and I’ve come across the term "Keys" used in several places (e.g., training subscriptions, learning plans, certifications, etc.).

Could someone kindly explain:

What exactly are "Keys" in the context of ServiceNow University?
How are they used—for accessing courses, certifications, or exams?

Keys are awarded to a person when they complete any learning content or certification.
No, You cannot spend keys on anything.

Navigating the Now Learning ecosystem can definitely be a bit confusing at first! In the practical mechanics of ServiceNow University/Now Learning, "Keys" generally refer to two specific types of access codes:

Voucher Keys (Exam Vouchers): These are alphanumeric codes used when you are ready to take a certification exam. You apply this key during the checkout process in Webassessor to cover the cost of the exam.
Enrollment Keys: These are sometimes used for private, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions or specific partner courses. If your organization sets up a dedicated training cohort, the instructor will provide an enrollment key so you can join that specific class roster in Now Learning.

If you are just doing on-demand, self-paced learning, you won't typically need to worry about keys. You'll primarily use them when it is time to sit for a proctored certification or attend a live class!
