CMDB View Health Dashboard

Hi,

I have questions related to CMDB Health Dashboard.

1. calculations done by the Dashboard are based on active CIs or do we need to give the criteria for it.

2. If the Health Dashboard offers metrics for a selected group of Class(es) (ie: Orphan End User Devices meaning Desktops, Laptops, Virtual desktops)

3.  Need clarification on the mechanics behind updating the metrics.

Regards,

Geet

Hi Geet,

  1. With "Health Inclusion Rules" you can filter on which CIs and for which metrics you want to report on.
For example: Only include CIs with operational_status = Operational and from the CI Class Hardware

I suggest to only include CIs Classes someone is responsible for and can fix the issue.

You can set the inclusion rules in the CI Class Manager. When you select the CI Class "Configuration Item", there you'll find the topic "Health" where you can also configure the CMDB Health thresholds

  2. You can select specific CI Classes in the inclusion rules. Do you mean that?

  3. The metrics are updated with a scheduled job. You can these jobs on the tab "CMDB Health Dashboard Jobs" on the Dashboard "CMDB View"
These job are default inactive and when active scheduled daily.
