I want to define new content type. How can I set the behaviour for this new content type? Like when I click the content item with this type, I want to open certain link. The requirement is not to use External content but create a new content type.

Also how is the click behavior defined for various content types like KB Article, external content etc. Like if we click on content item of type KB Article in service catalog, we see it redirecting to kb_view.do. How and where is this set?

Atul : It is not OOTB available and we cant do. You may need to create field or some BR for the same.

You will have an option on the content item itself. utilize content type field na d for redirection URL.
