Couldn't add or edit labels in Visual Task boards.

Hi All,

I couldn't add or edit any labels from Visual Task boards.

When I checked in docs, there are no roles required to add or modify labels.

But, I am getting an error message as "Error Message You do not have permission to create label" and ""Error Message You do not have permission to update label"

have you checked the ACL for vtb_board_label table?  i validated on my personal instance i can able to update as well as create the level. 

please have a look on ACL. as an admin are you able to modify that ?

I guess you are on the New York release. Now you will be default need to have the role "global_tags_creator" or "tag_admin" to be able to create or rename labels on the VTB. If you want to go back to the old behavior that allows everyone to do it, you can add the system property "glide.vtb.check_global_tags_creator_role" and set it to false.

And the documentation confuses, since it's actually saying at the top "Required role: none" on the top, but a bit down you can see it mention this. If you find errors like this, I recommend using the feedback functionality on docs to report these.

Hi @Goran WitchDoc 

We are on Utah and we enabled the sys_property "glide.vtb.check_global_tags_creator_role" and updated to false.

But still we are not able to create labels .

Does this work with the role , so even if you have the property do you still need the role "global_tags_creator" assigned to the user.

Plus don't have access to the KB you mentioned 😞
