We create KB articles for our LAW firm and the information is currently formatted in Word. Like most large corporate and especially law firms, all word processing is done in MS Word.
However, when you use a Word Heading style vs. the built in paragraph numbering not linked to styles doesn't always translate to good format and end up spending time reformatting what had already looked great in Word. We use linked styles to use features like Table of Contents and Cross References which are features built into Heading Styles.
We could just link the document or article from the document management system where it currently resides, but that does not provide a good mobile content display.
Looking at previous posts about this issue, it looks like this is an ancient issue, with some of these posts three years old.
