Custom user interface behaviour/preferences

Hi,

 

I've implemented a client script to auto-expand emails (https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-forum/auto-expand-inbound-mails-on-incident-activity/...) but ideally this could be controlled by the user, similarly to controlling UI theme, compact etc.

 

Is there a way to add a custom user preference to the preferences dialog? Or can someone suggest a sensible alternative? (Again, ideally that will survive an upgrade to NeXT UI)

 

e.g. adding another section here:

Hi Tim,

 

Unfortunately, I am not sure there is a way to edit this menu. However, all properties from this menu / preferences set by users are controlled by the User Preferences menu (User Administration > User Preferences). There is a nice write up to help navigate what the difference preferences do here:
