Dot Walk value not visible in RITM

I have recently created a new Catalog Item where one of the field variables has dot walk configured for it. However after the catalog is submitted, the dot walk values are not visible/displayed in the RITM. Is there any way to get the value to be visible in the RITM (i.e Request Variables tab and also Notes field) without the need for script or is scripting the only feasible way to get this done.

Ensure the variable type is correct for the variables which are getting auto populated

Operational Status -> Single line

Unique ID -> Single line

the values are present but not visible as the i icon is seen there

the user who is seeing the RITM doesn't have the read access to the table being referred by those 2 variables?

Is it working fine with admins?
