Good morning!
I am currently using an HR Template to generate fields within a Document task when it is created - I am now trying to add the parent/HR case "opened_by" field into this document task short description. I figured I could do this via a business rule or flow, but I am finding that neither are working. The field itself (on the HR Template form) isn't allowing me to add any dot-walking fields (also no rich text editor), hence why I went the business rules route. I've tried a before and after rule with no success. Any idea how to pull/update a parent field/dot-walked field into a set short description field? Attached image shows the field I would like to modify. It does not look to be a restricted scope/caller issue as I already approved those cross-scope permissions.
Thank you!

I wasn't able to utilize the show related fields, however you did give me an idea of how to develop this! I created a field in Document Task that pulled in the "Requested For" user - I then used that field to update the Short Description via a business rule. Worked like a charm!

Hi @kristenmkar,
just a hit or miss as I don't have the HR module installed...
In the field "Template" highlighted in yellow, if you click the Short description and scroll down-most for the very last value, does it allow to select "Show Related Fields" or not?
If yes, then we might be closer to it.
if no, then it must be done differently...
Eventually a quick idea - creating a template from different table, does it make sense or not?
