Hi All,
We have feeds coming in from other systems, and there is data cleanup and normalization. For example the group name is different in the external system vs ServiceNow.
Our use case: we need to make both Group, Approval Group and location changes made, and we want to keep our related records, CIs, Assets, changes, incidents, RITMs, tasks, etc...associated with the group.
What is best practice? For example, what are the pros/cons of renaming the group vs. creating a new group and disabling the old?

Hi @kathymorris ,
Renaming keeps all links intact and is easier if the group’s role stays the same. Creating a new group is better for clear separation but requires updating all related records manually.
