Hello @akings24 ,

In ServiceNow, the sys_user_group record represents a group of users who share similar roles or responsibilities. Typically, you create sys_user_group records in the ServiceNow platform through the ServiceNow application interface. best practice would be first create in developer instance, and then using update sets move to production instance.

Here are the general steps:

  • Navigation:

    • Navigate to the "System Security" module. This is where you manage user-related configurations.
  • Create a New Group:

    • Look for an option like "Groups" in the navigation menu.
    • Select the option to create a new record (group).
  • Fill in Details:

    • Provide details for the sys_user_group record, such as the group name, description, and any other relevant information.
  • Save the Record:

    •
  • Add Members and Role (Based on business reuirement):
  • After saving the record, add member in group using member and role using related lists.
  1.

Always refer to the ServiceNow documentation or your organization's specific configuration for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
