We have the Homepage Search Widget on Employee Center. It appears to only find whole words, for example if I type 'Report' it will show all items and articles with the word Report in the name field or if the word is in the meta field.
If I'm looking for 'Report Network Issue' I would expect the following to continue to show it in the list if I typed 'report net' but it it then says no results found until I type the whole word 'network' I could add 'net' to the meta data but what happens if the user types 'netw' then they lose the result.
Has anyone come across this and know how to change the search behaviour?

Hi @Jeannette2 ,
It looks like your portal is still using the Zing search. You can migrate to the AI Search, which offers more functionality the way you describe, including typo fixes and better interpretation.
Have a look at the AI Search introduction:
Hope this helps,
Hayo

Hi @Jeannette2 ,
On my PDI it says the same, on the own instance the AI Search is available 'in product'.
As far as I know, it is part of the core product, so if it is not a PDI you should be able to activate it. Have also a look at the AI Search FAQ : https://www.servicenow.com/community/intelligence-ml-articles/ai-search-faq/ta-p/2307953
Will we be able to enable AI Search in a PDI soon?
AI Search is not currently available for PDIs (Personal Developer Instances). You will have to request it in a sub-production environment.
Regards,
Hayo

Hi @Hayo Lubbers , thanks for the response, when I look at AI Search Status it say Request AI Search, is this what you mean? So if that is not enabled it won't work as I would expect?

Hi @Hayo Lubbers, we are On Prem so not that easy to just activate, I'm happy with you answer because now I know why it's working that way and what the solution is to fix it. Thank you for your help.
