How do I add columns to a related list for all users ?

I am looking to add/rearrange columns in a related list, for all users not just for one through the gear icon. We're running Geneva which apparently has some issues with related lists and customization. Any pointers or links to existing whitepapers/answers would be appreciated.

You can do this through List Layout from Configure option in the related list. Please refer to the screen shot below:

Thank you for this! I just want to note that in my case I had to execute cache.do after applying the change in order for this to take effect. Posting this in case somebody else experiences the same issue.
