How do we build a "Catalog Item" inside our scoped app?

We have a scoped application called "Campus Services".  We know how to build the ESS page for it, but not sure how to receive a "Catalog Item" with RITM table, Task table, and  Add to cart option - inside our scoped application.

If we go to maintain items and build a "Catalog Item" in the scoped app Campus Services, it still shows up in Global.  Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this, or if it can be done at all?

Hello Sherry,

That is not the expected behavior. Catalog items can be captured as part of the scoped application. Please make sure you are in the right scope before creating a catalog item i.e Click on the cog wheel and make sure application picker is set to your application scope. Screenshot for reference.

Another check is to look at the actual application files under

System Applications > Applications > click on your application > related list called "application files" Screen Shot 2017-09-20 at 4.09.15 PM.JPG

Carlos,

Yes I see my item in the application files.   Thanks

Hello Sherry,

Thanks for the update. As you confirmed that the item is in application files i.e it is captured as part of your scoped app.

Please let me know if this answers your question. Thank you.

It should give you something like " This record is in the test123_studio application, but Global is the current application. To edit this record click here." If you are in global scope and open this record.

If this is not true and you see the cat item in the application files then there might be some misconfiguration or perhaps an issue with how the cat item was created though this is not likely.

If this is true then a support incident may be warranted.   However it may be useful to reattempt creating another cat item while in the app scope (confirming how Pradeep suggested to confirm) and seeing if the issue can be reproduced.

To add here, You can also pull application field in the catalog item list view to check the scope of each catalog item. Screenshot for reference.
