How to create collection type field on CMDB tables

Hi All,

Could anyone tell me how can we enable audit functionality on CMDB tables.

I am looking to enable audit feature on some of CMDB tables, Since those are not being audited from OOB.

Example : cmdb_ci_mfp_printer

Audit checkbox on collection field has to be selected to make enable audit functionality. But some of the CMDB tables doesn't have collection type field on table dictionary and I am not able to create collection type field because Collection field type is not available for custom field.

Thanks in Advance

I believe all tables have a collection record. Are you not seeing the "audit" field via the form view? If you are not, you can just add to your list view and update value to true.

See example below of the cmdb_ci_mfp_printer table.

Can you share what tables you found that doesn't have collection record?

Hi Petrick,

Thanks for your response.

I have tried all those options. But I don't see any changes in activity tracker behavior. Still table is not being audited.

I can see only the initial work-notes provided while creating records. No other fields are not being audited. But I am able to see all corresponding work-notes in Journal entries table "sys_journal_field".
