Not sure if this was ever answered for you Sohan but what I would do is use Performance Analytics. I would create an automated indicator for incidents opened by day then show it for MoM. I would also create one for Closed per day and show it on the same Widget in a line chart. If you're looking for just what was opened in March and closed in March vs not in the same month you can add the closed and opened filters and call that indicator Same month closure. I feel like you'll be rolling a lot of incidents across months that are opened at the end of the month though. You can do open&closed same month divided by opened in the month as a Formula Indicator and then do running averages in a widget on a dashboard.
