How to get report by month side by side for 2 years?

Hi,

I want to get "Month" report side by side for 2 years. For ex, attached the picture. I tried creating Report with different types (bar chart, columns chart etc), but nothing is showing as similar to my requirement (to have side by side months for 2 years). I could only make Reports with charts straightforward ( all months come one after another and then month from next year starts. I don't want this way, i want like comparison month for years side by side). Could you please help/share me the step by step to achieve this?

Hi @priyaaprab ,

How much knowledge do you have in relation to PA? Based on that you know how to create PA jobs, Indicator sources and automated indicators, then it's quit simple.

  1. Ensure that you have data collected on the automated indicator back to January 2022.
  2. Create a widget with check mark in "previous period chart"
  3. In the previous period settings, set "range of periods" to "years"
  4. In the previous period settings, set "number of periods" to "2"

Above will give the following result:

Hi @JayR88897546621 ,

It seems that you are missing some access for the performance analytics application: Performance Analytics roles (servicenow.com)

Hey Anders,

Thanks for the help so far, I did get with the right people and got all the roles added to my profile that gave me much more access to all the Indicators, Indicator Sources, Breakdowns, Jobs, Widgets, etc..

I have been trying to figure it out on my own how to create a Month to Month Sum of our Tasks Closed but have been unsuccessful. I have created an Indicator Source to look at "ALL" of my teams tasks.  Then I am trying to have an Indicator that looks at the count of the closed tasks.  I can't figure out the Frequency on these Indicator Sources and Indicators if they should be Daily or Monthly.  Then I can't figure out the Time Series, if it should be By Month SUM or something else.  Could you give some advice or an example of how you'd create this?

Any help is much appreciated!

Jay

See attached pics too to see how I tried to setup my Month to Month Total Tasks Closed Widget with the Indicator based off some of your earlier responses.  It isn't showing any data in the Widget though.

Hello, @AndersBGS   I also need to compare data from the same month across different years, so I tried to create such a chart using the method you introduced.
However, the issue I encountered may be due to my personal PDI environment being the Xanadu version. In this version, it seems that I cannot directly add widgets from Dashboards.
Could you please tell me how to visualize widgets in the Xanadu version of the PDI environment? Or is there another way to create such a chart in the Xanadu version?
I’m really looking forward to your help.

Hi @云張 ,

I don't quite follow. What is shown when you try to add the widget to the dashboard?
