I’m working on a scoped application and would like to trigger a short MP3 sound notification when a record state changes (for example, when an incident is assigned).
I’ve uploaded the audio file as an attachment, but I’m not sure what the best practice is for playing it in Service Portal. Should this be handled in a widget using client-side JavaScript, or is there a more “ServiceNow-native” way to manage audio notifications?
Also, are there any security or performance concerns when referencing audio files from attachments?
Any guidance or sample approach would be appreciated. Thanks!
