Hi I have deleted the dictionary entry record from table unfortunately. I am able to see the record in language file but its showing in deleted application file.     I am not able to restore the deleted application file and also not able to create the new dictionary entry with same column label.     Its a major issue for me. Please respond asap.     Thanks in Advance,

Hi Ajay,

Time to reach out to customer support and let them know that you are trying to create a field and the system says it's already there, but sys_dictionary says it isn't. They should be able to look deeper in the database and resolve this.

Let us know how it turns out. Thanks.

I have the same issue. Basically when you go to System Definition > Tables > Select a table > and delete the dictionary entry on the columns tab, this doesn't completely remove it from the Form Layout or Designer view. it still thinks the dictionary item is still there for some reason.

in fact, the dictionary entry's name u_type_change, will become the display value u_type_change.   It will allow you to add it to the form in either Layout or Designer view, and of course, when you right-click the field it will say "Record not found",     I think this is a huge bug in ServiceNow,

If you delete the dictionary entry yourself, you can replicate the same issue @Aj Hini is experiencing.
