we have Knowledge articles in ServiceNow portal ,when i copy the URL of specific knowledge article from browser URL and pasted the same in teams chat it is giving the generic name like "Knowledge Article - ServiceNow".But it should be name of the article .

For example :

i have copied  Knowledge article "Instructions to raise Incident " URL from the browser and pasted in teams chat it should be "Instructions to raise Incident "  rather than "Knowledge Article - ServiceNow".

Could you please help on this ?

As informed by @J Siva this looks like a browser specific thing.

Did you check in edge, firefox and chrome about the behavior?

I think it is not related to browser ,we have HR servicenow esc  portal ,in this portal i tried and copied  URL of article from same browser it is giving the article name.

@Ankur Bawiskar  can you please help what is the functionality of this table "sys_cs_portal_url_mapping"?

 is this will help for my issue ?

@Rajyalakshmi

I don't think this is related to this table.

My thoughts:

  • that table in ServiceNow is used for mapping ServiceNow table records (like Knowledge Articles, Catalog Items, etc.) to specific portal URLs for use with Conversational Interfaces, Virtual Agent, or similar integrations.
  • It lets you define custom navigation mappings so that, when a link to a record (e.g., a Knowledge Article) is generated by Virtual Agent, AI Search, or other chat systems, it points users to the correct page in the right portal.
  • For example, you can specify that all Knowledge Article records should open with a certain URL structure in a specific portal (like HR or Employee Center), rather than just using the default Service Portal.
