I have a choice that I added as an option to State. It is active and I can't see any issues with it yet the text is showing in blue. According to the article that I found on the wiki http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Customizing_Choice_Lists it states "By default, inactive or invalid choice list values appear in blue text instead of black." I deleted the entry and recreated it but still it is showing in blue. This is an intiger field. Would anyone have any ideas?

ServiceNow response to this issue is listed below.
Sometimes the new values aren't properly cached. They cleared the cache and it looks great!
Again ... Thank you all for your help!

This can also happen if you have a default value set on the dictionary for that field and it is referencing a value that no longer exists or is inactive in the choice table or has the wrong entry. If the default value is set to the "Display Value", change it to -2 and see if that fixes it.

I wish this were the case but the default value is in the list and active. Thank you.

Blue means "can't find a valid choice matching [value shown]"
One more place to look is a dictionary override setting a non-existent value.

Hi Abraham,
As per your issue I found that the text showing in the blue color is not actually existing with the current list or current domain or is inherited from some other choice list or table.
Please let me know if you have this issue further.
Thanks!

Hi Sue,
Try making SER Pending as a VALUE along with the label. I think that will address your query.
Please mark answer as correct, if it was really helpful 🙂
