Identify when users change roles or leave the company

When a person who is a manager or backup of any groups leaves the company or changes roles is there a way for us to detect that change and require an update to the groups?
We have been having problems with people moving to new roles or leaving the company and the groups they owned or were listed as approvers are left with their names still there. Until people start looking for the person and realize they are not the right person or have left then we start the search for their replacements.
Is there anyway ServiceNow can Identify when a persons account is removed or if their role has changed and trigger a task to update their groups?

I'm wanting to be notified when a user is no longer in our workday feed into ServiceNow so we can immediately notify the team that they need to replace that person in the groups
