Hi Everyone,
I am trying to make updates to the knowledge article category for 10 articles in a knowledge base
Categories are currently created in development instance.
I have mapped the new categories of the 10 articles created in development instance
I exported the latest version of the article and tried importing to QA instance
when checking the imported article version, its showing as KB099000v and not have a version number
I expected the version should be KB099000v2.0
Due to this issue, even the latest article appears to be an outdated article in QA instance.
What is it i need to do so the version of the imported article has the same version as development instance.

Hi Roshini,
Do not try importing large amount of articles, its failing during deployment.
Also version, was showing as old version. Not an ideal solution

You can import. When i did that, the imported new version didnt come with version number and came as v and says its outdated. Post importing i have to checkout and publish it to get the latest version number.

Try in lower instance before importing to prod

Could you please provide steps on how to import articles with version history?that will be helpful.

1)Export articles you want to import with all version from the list view as XML
2) Go to the instance and navigate to articles list view
3)On the number field in list header right click
4)You will find option to Import
5)Select the XML file
6)Click on Import
7)Verify if all articles are imported
Note: As you might know ,If you dont have admin access in the instance you want to import you will not see import option
