What is the affect to the instance if inactive users are not deleted from groups. Will there be any performance or slowness in the system.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

it's better to Remove the inactive users from the Group List because there might be a scenario that Based on that Group Name you are selecting Users who are a part of that Group and if the Reference Qualifier or other restriction are not turned on for that field then users would be able to select an Inactive User and update the Record with a User who is not present in the Organization which should not be the case say a incident is assigned to a person who no longer belongs to that organization.

Hope this helps.Mark the answer as correct/helpful based on impact.

Hi Ravi,

I do not think there would be performance issue with inactive users in a group but it is always a best practice to remove these users as they do not get displayed unnecessarily in any Assigned to fields.

Thanks

We did find that if we left inactive users in groups, they were still available as choices when team members were setting up over-rides for the on-call calendar. Once we removed the group from the inactive user, the choice for that user no longer displayed in that team's on-call calendar.

Hi all, is there some way this can be enforced. When a user is deactivated, they can't be selected to log a call "on behalf of". Seems strange they remain in the assignment groups. Can they be automatically removed?
