itil role related

Hello,

I want to know if out of the box (OOB), a user with the 'ITIL' role can make changes/updates to the sys_user table.
If so, Kindly share ServiceNow documentation around that.

@atanumaity22996 OOTB ITIL role does not have permissions to create a record on the sys_user table. However, the ITIL role has permission to update few fields on the existing sys_user record.

 

Following fields can be updated by the ITIL role on sys_user table.

1. First Name

2. Middle Name

3. Last Name

4. Department

Here's how you can find out - as an admin, run this on a user with only the itil role:
